TasCAHRD
TasCAHRD is the Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis & Related Diseases. They are the peak body for HIV and Hepatitis services in the state and support people living with, or at risk of acquiring, blood-borne viruses. They embrace the LGBTIQ+ community and deliver essential care, support and health promotion.
TasCAHRD approached Inclusive Creatives to collaborate on developing an innovative podcast series – Conversations 2 Connect.
The purpose of the podcasts was to break through the stigma often attached to blood-borne diseases and connect the Tasmanian community with information and services related to self-care, mental health, building resilience and substance use.
TasCAHRD publish an inclusive lifestyle magazine, Red Thread, which is dedicated to improving health literacy, particularly around sexual health, wellness and harm reduction, and they wanted to increase their reach on other platforms. This is where we stepped in to help.
Providing a voice
The idea of utilising a podcasting approach meant the series and content were broadly accessible and easy to connect with and consume. TasCAHRD won a grant to help link essential communities. This enabled us to get information from a wide variety of organisations regarding their service insights, lived-experience stories and potential program collaborations.
Our creative, design and production team managed the entire process. We interviewed key people in relevant organisations to bring their personal stories to the podcasts. The team produced 10 podcasts, branded product identity, creative promotional items, and social and print media advertising.
We successfully delivered a creative, relaxed and engaging format to promote the TasCAHRD and Red Thread brands and services through our ‘audio marketing’ approach. This was a great opportunity to work closely with the Tasmanian LGBTIQ+ community to help provide a voice and visibility to the community support sector.
“It was an absolute pleasure to work with Sunny, Sam and the rest of the team at Inclusive Creatives, they really lived up to their name. Working on our Conversations 2 Connect podcast marketing was such a collaborative effort, they listened to the vision and were able to bring it to life. They were inclusive in the way they worked, but also in their design that incorporated my vision and the requirements of the organisation while keeping in mind the diversity of the audience inclusion across the board.”
