Aquila Eco Retreat

Nestled in the picturesque Coal River Valley, just outside the historic town of Richmond Tasmania, Aquila Eco Retreat exemplifies a harmonious blend of sustainability, off-grid eco-luxury, and inclusivity.

The Challenge
Jason and Alice are the visionaries behind Aquila, with an unwavering commitment to sustainability and delivering an experience that sets Aquila apart from other eco-tourism operators in the state.

Inclusive Creatives were approached to review the name, website and marketing and to develop a more evolved brand toolkit and a creative platform to increase awareness and bookings. Guests were regularly only booking for one night, often only because of Aquila’s proximity to the airport. Our goal was to get people to see Aquila as a destination in its own right, and a place to explore the diverse and delicious Coal River Valley.

We were also tasked with marketing the features of their fully accessible glamping tent, seamlessly integrating them with all the other features and information. Jason and Alice were clear that this could not be seen as a token effort and that it had to be easily accessible by all.

Our Approach
We collaborated closely with the client, applying, strategic methods and inclusive processes that helped pave the way for a renewed approach to marketing the property.

Knowing how busy and stressed our audience is, we wanted to invite them to be anything but. This led to the ‘Be Unplanned’ campaign platform; inviting visitors to slow down, put down the screens, be still, be indulgent and most of all take the time to remember what is important in life.

We worked closely with the team to develop new guest experiences, as well as some carefully considered offers to coincide with local events and other tourism experiences.

Our goal was to create a feeling of genuine relaxation, indulgence and approachable luxury from the moment you interacted with the brand whether via the website, social media or any other media channel.

Project Scope
The project entailed a comprehensive re-launch of the brand, a contemporary and accessible website, a multi-use brand video, organic and paid social media and an AdWords campaign.

Results
Aquila has now found its niche, successfully positioned as a premier destination in the Tasmanian eco-tourism and accessible tourism landscape.

As well as attracting an ever-growing number of visitors from around the country, Aquila has also won various Tourism Awards, culminating in their inclusion in ‘The Off-Season’, Tourism Tasmanian’s Interstate campaign highlighting some of Tasmania’s most unique and exciting operators.

“Inclusive Creatives has been pivotal in realising our vision for Aquila. Their commitment to understanding us enabled them to craft a marketing campaign that embodies our essence, values and experience.

Their collaborative approach and brand expertise, have led to a re-launch of our property that’s surpassed our expectations and has helped us rightfully claim our place as a premier destination in the Tasmanian tourism scene.
